2023-2024 Internship Positions Have Been Filled
LCS; Student Counselor Program
LCS; is a teaching practice that provides online counseling services in Alaska and Indiana. With client consent, student counselors have opportunities to observe counseling sessions, co-treat, and provide individual, family, and group counseling services. Student counselors have experiential opportunities to treat:

individuals experiencing concerns with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, and trauma.

families experiencing concerns with parenting, foster care/adoption, and parent-child relationships.
The practicum/internship experience is unpaid. Student counselors will receive one hour of individual clinical supervision each week. Additionally, the site supervisor will provide consultation and guidance as needed and work with the student’s graduate program and faculty supervisor to ensure university requirements are met. Group supervision will be available if both internship positions are filled.
Minimum Qualifications

Be pursuing a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) track master’s degree program at CACREP accredited university.

Must be committed to practicing unconditional positive regard.

Demonstrate a strong commitment to learning evidence-based approaches to treating various mental health issues.

Maintain strong ethical and professional boundaries.

Must be teachable and have a desire for professional growth.

Demonstrate strong communication skills.

Be willing to ask questions.

Must be committed to being part of a professional community.

Commit to daytime and evening client appointments.

Be willing to provide telehealth services.
